Oasis ON the Seas

So...remember Project Genesis?

Well, she's been named, and
RCCL has released more pictures. And wow--I'm quite impressed with Oasis of the Seas. Where I felt like NCL went very wrong, I feel like RCCL got it all right! The ship, and particularly her loft suites are beautiful!

The suites will feature floor-to-ceiling two story windows, the ability to combine suites to accomodate larger groups, posh interior design, and much more.

Check her out!

The Evolution of Cruising

Welcome to the new frontier in cruising--The Royal Caribbean Genesis project. RCCL's newest ship, to be launched in late 2009 will be a new and exciting voyage into the great blue yonder. At the center of this project will be the eight-story, 100 yard long "Central Park". The park will feature flora & fauna, winding pathways, restaurants, and much more.

Genesis will be based out of Fort Lauderdale, which clearly suggests Caribbean itineraries, but RCCL is yet to announce its exact routes.

I have to hand it to RCCL--they're always looking for new and innovative ways to turn their ships into destinations unto themselves. This ship looks like it will be an experience all its own. If you're bored, check out the link at the end. :) There's a video on the site that really gives you a feel for what Central Park will be like (and that I couldn't figure out how to properly embed into this post).
